💡 Job Description – Software Quality Engineer
As part of the Product Quality Team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality standards across AspenTech’s software products. Your role involves:
- Designing, building, and executing automated and manual tests.
- Developing test strategies for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Creating low-maintenance test automation scripts using the latest technologies.
- Working within CI/CD pipelines for configuration and test execution.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Reporting defects, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
🎯 Skills & Qualifications Required
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 0 – 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, or Shell).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
- Basic knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks & configuration management.
- Exposure to virtualization (VMware, vSphere).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 switches, SNMP).
- Experience with Git, Subversion, or CVS.
