Job Role – Associate Engineer
As an Associate Engineer at BT, you will work on software engineering activities that support BT’s global technology roadmap. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about coding, problem-solving, and delivering scalable solutions in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop logic for alarm handling and correlation.
- Create custom adapters to collect network fault/performance data using SNMP, Syslog, or Telemetry.
- Write scripts/adapters using Python or Shell scripting.
- Deliver quality releases on time using Agile methodologies.
- Debug complex technical issues and provide long-term fixes.
- Work on Java (JDK 17), Kubernetes, Grafana, MySQL, Oracle, Graph DBs, and related tools.
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues.
- Contribute to projects involving Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, and WebLogic.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge in Java (JDK 17).
- Hands-on experience (or academic knowledge) of Kubernetes & Docker.
- Good understanding of Python and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka.
- Proficiency in REST API & Microservices development.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, Weblogic, and ActiveMQ.
- Database expertise in MySQL and Graph databases.
- Exposure to Grafana, Kibana, GitLab Runner.
- Understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Ability to work in Agile teams with strong communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech).
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Freshers with project/internship experience in software development are encouraged to apply.
