Job Overview:
Western Digital is looking for enthusiastic freshers to join its Software Development Engineering team in Bangalore. As an Application Developer, you will work with a talented team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications and embedded firmware for enterprise storage products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop firmware using C/C++ across FPGA, simulators, and enterprise HDD product environments.
- Participate in full-stack embedded firmware development including design, implementation, debugging, and optimization.
- Collaborate in Agile development environments, contributing to design documentation.
- Work on advanced storage interfaces like SAS, SATA, PCIe.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative HDD solutions.
- Understand and contribute to the end-to-end product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in CS, CE, EE, EC, or equivalent.
- Freshers or up to 1 year of experience.
- Minimum CGPA of 7.5 preferred.
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, C#, OOP concepts, data structures, algorithms.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in storage technologies (HDD, Flash, Non-Volatile Memory).
